Joanna Aguilar

Joanna Aguilar, who has served as a Mentor and Evaluator for the UNC Charlotte Early Educator Support office since 2019, received her BS B-K from Western Carolina University and MAEd BK/Leadership and Administration from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. She is inspired by the individual and collective strengths of early childhood professionals who house young children in the center of their “why” and understand the importance of the first years in a child’s life. In recent years, Joanna has collaborated with other North Carolina early childhood professionals in the facilitation of NCAEYC’s Equity in Early Childhood Education Circle and continues to focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion within her professional and community life.
