Members: Melissa Ledbetter, Erica Recchio, Lindsay Schrenkel, Crystal Thomas, and Jessica Ward (Facilitator)
Mission: Through the utilization of our website and social media presence the Communication Collaborative will provide clear, efficient, and helpful information of quality to Early Childhood Professionals. We will effectively partner with all collaboratives to develop and share resources with Early Childhood Professionals.
Communication Collaborative Culture:
We strive to be a truly collaborative team where no one person does most of the work or has all the ideas. A team where each individual voice is valued while we decide together how to best present a collective voice in the messages we send and the work we produce to better support the teachers we serve and our colleagues.
We consistently work toward this ideal by:
- Supporting each other with praise while also giving frequent, constructive feedback.
- Taking tasks seriously while also having fun.
- Holding each other accountable while also giving grace as needed.
- Encouraging each other’s individual strengths to shine while also learning new skills.
Goals for this Year:
- Provide Staff Training on Standard 1D: Teacher Advocate for Schools & Children to gain a deeper understanding of advocacy and how it connects with North Carolina Teaching Standards, our conceptual framework, and our roles as Mentors and Evaluators.
- Create a Resource Vault for staff use
- Continue our FaceBook presence
